Speedy Publishing offers selected titles through DropCap, a rights marketplace that connects books with international publishing opportunities. DropCap states that its marketplace connects books with more than 2,700 rights buyers worldwide and supports rights discovery, buyer interest, and licensing discussions.

Frankfurt Rights

Speedy Publishing LLC also maintains a rights presence through Frankfurt Rights, the digital rights and licensing platform connected with Frankfurter Buchmesse.

Frankfurt Rights describes itself as an international platform for the global rights and license trade, where publishers, agents, and rights buyers can present catalogs, browse rights offers, request materials, and contact rights sellers.

Copyright Clearance Center and Copyright.com

Speedy Publishing also uses Copyright Clearance Center services through Copyright.com for selected permissions and licensing requests.

Copyright Clearance Center provides permissions services for uses such as content reuse, course materials, learning management system postings, e-reserve postings, internal communications, and other approved licensing needs.

All Speedy Publishing books, eBooks, covers, illustrations, photographs, designs, text, metadata, digital files, and related materials are protected by copyright law.

Copyright protects the work of the many people involved in creating and publishing books, including writers, editors, designers, illustrators, photographers, researchers, production staff, and publishing partners.

Speedy Publishing believes that educational content should be widely available, but it must also be used legally. Schools, libraries, educators, companies, nonprofits, and media organizations must obtain permission before copying, distributing, adapting, recording, translating, uploading, displaying, or reusing Speedy Publishing content beyond what is allowed by law or by an existing license.

Purchasing a book or eBook does not automatically grant permission to reproduce, scan, record, translate, upload, or distribute its contents.

Permissions

Permission may be required for many uses, including:

  • Using excerpts in another book, article, workbook, website, course, or presentation
  • Translating a title into another language
  • Recording a read-aloud video or audio file

Read-Aloud Permissions

Speedy Publishing understands that teachers, librarians, schools, and literacy groups may wish to read books aloud for students and young readers.

Read-aloud permission may be considered when the use is educational, limited, and non-commercial.

A read-aloud request should usually meet these guidelines:

  • The organization owns a legal copy of the book.
  • The recording is used for educational or library purposes.
  • The recording is shared through a closed, password-protected, or limited-access platform when possible.
  • The title, author, imprint, and Speedy Publishing LLC are credited.
  • The recording is not sold, monetized, or used for advertising.
  • The recording is removed after the approved permission period.

Public posting on video platforms, social media, or open websites requires written permission from Speedy Publishing unless permission has already been granted through a written license.

Classroom, School, and Library Use

Teachers and librarians may use legally purchased Speedy Publishing books for ordinary classroom and library activities. This includes reading physical books to students, displaying books during lessons, assigning books for reading, and using books as part of classroom instruction.

Additional permission may be needed for:

  • Scanning full books
  • Uploading pages to a website or learning platform
  • Copying large sections for student packets
  • Recording and posting read-aloud sessions
  • Sharing eBooks outside the licensed platform
  • Using content in paid courses or commercial training
  • Creating adapted or translated versions

Story Walk and Public Display Permissions

Speedy Publishing may consider permission requests for Story Walks, library displays, school events, literacy trails, and similar public reading programs.

Requests should include:

  • Book title and ISBN
  • Name of the organization
  • Location of the display
  • Dates of the display
  • Number of stations or pages used
  • Whether the event is free or paid

How the book and publisher will be credited

Confirmation that the organization owns a legal copy of the book

Story Walks, public displays, and similar uses require written permission before the pages are enlarged, printed, posted, or displayed.

Translation and Foreign Language Rights

Publishers interested in translating Speedy Publishing titles should contact us or view selected titles through our rights partners.

Translation rights may be available for selected territories, languages, formats, and editions. Rights availability may vary by title, imprint, territory, and prior licensing activity.
